I have never been so glad for cable in my life! I've . rediscovered TCM and On Demand. Why? Michael Jackson. Look, I grew up with the Jackson 5. I bought "Ben" on a 45. I loved "Thriller" He was a talented man and his talent will be missed. I miss Elvis but I don't want to hear about him every freakin' day!!! At the very least, Michael was bizarre. From the glove to the masks to wanting to be called Miss Ross. At his very worst he was a danger to himself, his children and the children others entrusted to him. No good father dangles an infant over a balcony. No grown man sleeps with young boys in his bed. It's unacceptable.
Has America become so morbidly obsessed with celebrity that we HAVE to have a segment on Jackson in every show? We lost other celebrities, too. Farrah Fawcett and Karl Malden come to mind. But ET and even Fox News has tunnel vision directed directly at Michael Jackson. Bill O'Reilly was ranting and raving about the state taking the children of the "octomom", and justifiably so. Why is he not on a crusade to have the state take Jackson's kids away from the circus that follows Jackson's death? Michael himself told the world that Joe Jackson was abusive and manipulative. Katherine Jackson allowed that to go on with her kids. Is it a far stretch to believe that Joe will do the same to Paris, Prince Michael and Blanket to further line his own pockets? I hope the dysfunctionality of this family will stop being honored and the children finally get to be normal! Put Michael Jack to rest already! I've heard enough!
